Witch's Almanac
This book is excellent, well written and easy to follow, the moon's cycle are down with our time zone so you dont have to add or subtract hour's. This is the first book Ive bought by Marie Bruce and I'd be happy to buy another of her books. Well done Marie, really enjoying this book.
Useful and fun
Don't let the generic front cover put you off. This book is really useful for planning spells - has all the main lunar and astrological info. Plus descriptions of the sabbats and esbats throughout the year. But what i liked best is the sense of fun in the author's writing. Some books are so serious about paganism, they almost make it feel like a chore. I think one of the best things about paganism is it's fluidity. I like her introductions to dragons, Robin Hood and Marion, and King Arthur. Lets face it: all religions are inherently a little ridiculous, but I like it when wicca/paganism acknoledges this and has fun with it. There's nothing wrong with a bit of silliness.
