Keeping pet chickens5
I got this book prior to getting chickens and found it really useful. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in keeping chickens in their back garden. It goes through anatomy and breeds of chickens, How to prepare your garden, Information on chicken housing and buying chickens and then goes on to tell you how to look after your new pets. I've had my chickens a few weeks and still find this book useful.

Highly Recommended!5
Its contents includes: basic anatomy, breeds, housing and runs, food, garden preparation, the 1st day home, eggs, daily routines, seasonal tips, cleaning, chicken handling, chicken behaviour, health and breeding.

As you can see it covers everything a beginner would need to know, i am extremely pleased with it! I looked at a number of similar books before making the purchase and this book was by far the easiest to read, contained plenty of information but in such a way that it didnt confuse or scare you and covered the widest range of subjects. I would highly recommend it for beginners!

New to keeping chickens4
After wading through many highly technical books on keeping vast numbers of chickens I was delighted to find this excellent publication which keeps it simple but still has all the essential information plus good clear pictures. I highly reccomend this to anyone who only wants to keep 3 or 4 chickens.
