Customer Reviews

Hilarious dated classic5
Despite being very dated, this first film is extremely funny.

I have never seen Old Bones on TV, probably due to its very old fashioned and very non-pc way of dealing with race, the empire and colonialism. But the story itself is very good, and can be enjoyed for both its great slapstick gags and for the more serious acting and storytelling.

Will Hay and his two sidekicks are bang on form, producing some superb scenes, some of which appear to be improvised. They manage to extract enormous amounts of humour from a very enjoyable but old fashioned plot from another era.
