Sharpe's Eagle4
Sharpe's Eagle, the second of the television adaptations of Bernard Cornwell's novels, sees Sharpe now a captain with the South Essex. They lose their colours due to the incompetence of Simmmerson (to become one of the series ongoing anti-heroes) and Sharpe captures a French Eagle in return to regain the battalions honour.

This episode also sees an appearance by an up and coming Daniel Craig playing Berry, an officer that Sharpe clashes with.

As with Sharpe's Rifles, this was obviously made on a tight budget and seems a little dated now but is still essential viewing for all fans.
