The Stage Two book will, I feel, be even more successful than the Stage One book in this series which is proving to be a very popular text for trainers and students. To have the whole syllabus for the BHS Stage II Examination covered in one volume, together with the Riding & Road Safety Test information is very unusual but the author has achieved this. The clear, friendly way in which the book has been written ensures that the text can be understood easily. The systematic layout will also enable the reader to use the book as a quick reference guide. I am sure it will be of immense benefit not only to students working towards their examinations but also to the one horse owner who wishes to learn more about caring for his horse. I recommend this book to all trainers, students, horse owners and, indeed, anyone interested in learning more about horsemastership. The best BHS exam guide I've found!
Excellent, clear and consise. Well illustrated and sets out exactly what is expected in the exam. Good exam tips section at the end of each chapter. Many exam books are fairly boring and over detailed - not this one. I especially liked the inclusion of the Riding and Road Safety test material, which supplements the BHS Riding and Roadcraft manual very well, and explains the manouevers much better. Having only just discovered this author at Stage II level, I have no idea how I passed Stage I without her!!!

Well worth the investment
This is the best book on the subject I have read. The information, whilst very comprehensive, is easy to understand. The photos and illustrations are clear and make learning the finer details much easier. Explaining the exam format really helps put the whole subject into perspective and helps to calm nerves. A great read too!!
