Synopsis
Martin Shaw (Judge John Deed) stars as Inspector George Gently in this BBC adaptation of Alan Hunter's novel series. Set in the 1960's the show follows the eponymous inspector, and his partner DS John Bacchus (Lee Ingleby), as he delays his retirement for one last case... a case which inevitably pulls him right back into the force.
