Editorial Reviews
CD Description
Inspired by house, rap, reggae, '50s vocal harmonies, techno, and even opera, along with a host of other musical genres, Faithless creates amalgamations of these styles onto tracks of generous length. The group's debut, REVERENCE, is one of the most consistent and surprising records to emerge from the club scenes of '90s England, and features at least two bona fide masterpieces.
The extraordinary "Salva Mea" starts with a plaintive vocal before bursting into a fast, massive rave-up, and then settles into a wickedly fuzzed-out, bass-driven rap--and that's only in the first three minutes of this nearly 11-minute track. The other standout is the utterly stunning "Insomnia", which would justify the record even if the rest of it weren't as good. Starting off with a variety of clock sounds and a wet, jackhammer beat, the track moves through brittle ambient territory into rap and hard-beat techno, and back again with alarming dexterity. The track appears twice, as a full-length version and an equally fabulous radio edit that excises the ambient sequences, condenses the vocals, and emphasises the "harder" portions of the original. As for the other tracks, well, you ought to hear them for yourself--they are all well worth it.

The Ultimate Dance Album
Reverence is perhaps the finest album ever created in the world of dance music. With classics like Salva Mea and of course Insomnia, it will appeal to anyone with even a slight interest in this genre. The Irreverence edition is even better, with several really good remixes of the tracks featured on the main CD. Even if you own the original Reverence CD, it may be worth searching out a copy of this special edition. This brings me to my word of warning, i can be difficult to find on the high street but at this price, why would you even leave the house!?
Ive own this album for years and never
Id never got around to reviewing any faithless album. All can say is Faithless is just tOOOOOOOOOOO good years go by and its still better. Well i would say this was there 3rd best album comparing with Outrospective,Sunday 8pm and the new No roots. For me Outrospective my favorite but too some other are not keen on trance/house then Reverence is the best for others. This album probaly the best beginer album for anybody who never heard any faithles before.

The best album ever
If I had to go to a desert island and could only take on CD this would be it, the music is fantastic, it has a song for every mood and of course has the best dance song, in my opinion the best song full stop with Insomnia. Everyone should have a copy in there collection.
