In simple terms, MINI 50 years is one of the best Mini books we've ever had the plaesure to read. It's a fantastic mix of new and old, of story telling and fact. Even if you're not the most ardent of mini anorcahs you'll find something to enjoy as Rob takes not obly a technical and statistical approach to his books, but also gives a fascinating insight into the people behind the scenes...If you want a really good yarn about the MINI ( and the Mini) then you can't get more complete, more enjoyable to read and look at than Golding's latest publication. Should really be called BMW mini the first Years
If you like the BMW Mini then this book is for you,lots of info on the 'new' mini, massive cheek to call it Mini 50 Years,all the info on the original mini and pictures are reused articles you've seen before. 90% of the information about the BMW mini.

If you like the 'new' BMW mini,LOTS of info.

If you like the original mini,VERY poor amount of rehashed info.

MINI not Mini !
I should have know not to buy this book because of the new MINI on the front. That ubiquitous BMW car that they call MINI is the main focus of the book, which is clearly aimed at BMW MINI devotees and has little to do with the 40 years of the legendary 'Mini', which it derives it name from. Given that the two cars are chalk and cheese, there seems no point in discussing them in the same book. It does not make pleasurable reading for Mini enthusiasts who are confronted with pictures of the BMW MINI every page or so. A real disappointment!

Excellent little book
I bought this book for my husband for xmas. It has some fantastic pictures and information in it. Well worth the buy for any mini lover.
