Product Description

Despite their subject's almost obsessive privacy, the authors present a complex, living biography of the working-class girl from Aberdeen who has become a pop legend. From ex-lovers to stylists were interviewed to present the full story from childhood to the reformation of the Eurythmics. This updated edition of 2001's biography includes details of her split with her manager and her musical activities since 1999.

Customer Reviews

Well worth the wait5
I grew up with the music of Eurythmics and although there have been several books published over the years there has never been a really satisfying biography of Annie Lennox until now. This is probably the closest we'll ever get to such a reclusive woman - and she's intrinsically fascinating. Her life alone is inspiring enough considering how she struggled to 'make it' in the early years, and there's a lot of new details here about her from people who were close to her that I'd never read before. All her songs and videos have stories and a strong analysis of them gives an insight into her very personal songwriting process. I recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in her work.
