Amazon.co.uk Review
Allegedly recorded in just three weeks, Wildest Dreams is an extremely polished and diverse release, which matches in style and content any of Turner's previous solo albums. However, the album doesn't contain any huge surprises and suffers from sounding trapped in the 1980s, with Turner collaborating with some of that decade's musical icons, including producer Trevor Horn, of the Pet Shop Boys and U2. Included on the album is Turner's theme from the previous years Bond movie Goldeneye, as well as a cover of John Waite's "Missing You". In an attempt to embrace club culture, Turner covers the Massive Attack classic "Unfinished Sympathy". "Confidential" and "The Difference Between Us" are the best newer compositions on the album. --John Galilee
CD Description
On her first studio album in seven years, Tina Turner flashes the same indomitable spirit, moxie and raw sexuality thathave carried her through nearly four decades in the music business, which is to say, she sounds as young as ever. Turner has a penchant for taking good songs and transforming theminto her own; here she tackles John Waite ("Missing You"), Massive Attack ("Unfinished Sympathy"), Sheryl Crow ("All Kinds Of People", a song from Crow's abandoned 1992 album) andthe Pet Shop Boys ("Confidential").
Trevor Horn gives her a sweeping, modern production, surrounding the Acid Queen with atmospheric beats, subtle electro-funk and cascading orchestration. She emotes all over it. Throw in a duet with Barry White that sounds as if it was recorded between the sheets ("In Your Wildest Dreams"), and WILDEST DREAMS shows a frisky knack for musical risk-taking that remains intact.

Tina at her best
Tina Turner's Wildest Dreams album is her best along with Twenty Four Seven. It's a 12-track collection of modern rock, pop, soul and R&B songs. There are no fillers here, but the very best tunes on this album are...
Whatever You Want - Amazing! Tina's vocals are more powerful than ever! Fantastic production by Trevor Horn. A classic Tina song.
On Silent Wings - probably the most beautiful Tina song in the world.
Thief Of Hearts - a great pop/rock tune with wonderful lyrics.
In Your Wildest Dreams - in one word: SEXY!
Goldeneye - the best Bond theme in the world.
All Kinds Of People - a wonderful soul anthem written by Sheryl Crow.
Dancing In My Dreams - the first Tina song with real gospel flavours. A very touching song.
This is a great CD and if you like Tina's music this CD is for you. Fans of the "older" Tina might find it too modern though but hey, in today's music business you have to be trendy!
beautiful cd
This is a lovely CD - heard the track "Something beautiful remains" on the radio and traced the track to Wildest Dreams CD - I was thrilled to find the whole of the CD so beautiful.
Another brilliant Tina album!
Every album from Tina gives us something different from her previous one..think this is why her popularity has remained so huge over the years. This album is fantastic, from the big singles Goldeneye, Whatever You want and On Silent Wings, but for me it's the album tracks on here that make it so special. Something Beautiful Remains is lovely, All Kinds Of People is a classic Tina track that is just so catchy! But the biggie on here for me has always been Dancing In My Dreams - it's heavenly!!!! Beautiful instrumentation and sung with haunting emotion. Love it!! Well done Tina, one of your finest tracks! Should have been a single!!!!!! 10/10
