One of the best Tintin books5
This is one of my favourite Tintin books. It is a fast-paced action thriller full of mystery, intrigue and some great chase sequences. The artwork is superb, those of Geneva being based on real-life locations. The story is bursting with running jokes and humorous details - Jolyon Wagg and his insurance policies, the rogue sticking-plaster, the atrocious Bordurian phone lines and the ubiquitous "Tasch" symbols you can see everywhere in the Borduria section of the book (it's fun spotting them all) make it probably the funniest of all the Tintin books. This is Herge at his very very best.

Professor Calculus is kidnapped5
This book features Tintin, Captain Haddock, Jolyon Wagg, Nestor, Professor Calculus, Thomson and Thompson and of cousre my favourite character Snowy. Calculus has invented an invention that breaks glass. He then is kidnapped, and Tintin and the Captain rescue him after many adventures in which they always semm to be bumping into that awful singer Signora Castafiore. This is one of my favourite Tintin books.
