About the Author
Alan Keegan whose parents arrived in Manchester from County Leitrim in the late 1950's has worked in local radio in Manchester for over twenty years. His 'The Parlour' on BBC GMR is the longest running Irish community radio show in Britain. Alan is also a lecturer in Media at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston and has taught at the University of Salford.
