An interesting book.. but with a hiddem gem!
This book describes the journey of the author across asia - and as it stands is an interesting read - however the fact making this book remarkable is the encounter that the auther has with a group in Afghanistan. They are followers of Jesus yet call themselves Muslims. This group claim to have been founded by Jesus himself. They claim that having survived the crucifixion he travelled to Kashmir and taught there for many years. Their claim is supported by traditions and other supporting historical documents that are being brought to light currently.
This chapter detailing the claims of the founder of this community in Western Afghanistan transform this text from an interesting text - to one of great historical importance and interest. Anyone researching the Jesus in India theory should get hold of this text for this single chapter alone.
