Leather Case
Bought this when there was a display picture, so was a bit nervous as to what would come back. Was plesantly surprised as it was a good quality case that fitted my TomTom GO 920 perfectly. The delivery speed was quite amazing as I ordered it one day and got it the next even though I was quoted a five day delivery.
So all in all, very happy with it.

Good case for the money
This is a good case for the widescreen TomTom models. The leather feels nice and is reinforced everywhere except the very top of the flip-over cover. This makes it possible for the TomTom (720 in my case) to be switched on whilst it is in the closed case if, you press in the right place (as might happen in a bag for example). However, if you put the device in upside down, that possibiliy is avoided! The TomTom is a slightly loose fit in this case, which makes it easy to get the device in and out. It is however well protected in the soft leather interior.

The magnetic catch is not particularly strong but is adequate and I couldn't get the TomTom to fall out of the case by shaking it against the flip-cover. I find magnetic catches are much better than Velcro or zips as they are much more durable.

All said, I'm very pleased and prefer it to the standard zipped TomTom branded case I bought last Christmas (as part of the accessory pack) which has just suffered a broken zip.

A word of caution: This case has solid leather sides. I did order a cheaper one from another vendor which also showed solid sides in the image, but it arrived with less durable elastic sides which leave the corners of my TomTom exposed to possible damage. The description wasn't helpful so check with the seller before purchasing if you want to be sure - or get this one!

An open and shut case...
I think in anybody's book a TomTom GO 540 represents a fairly serious investment and naturally one of my first concerns was to protect it properly whenever I took it out of the car (which was every time I stopped!). Reviewers suggested that the official TomTom case is a very tight fit with a weak zip, and in addition I thought the rigid cases looked bulky. Considering this offering is robustly constructed from good quality leather and fits the GO perfectly - not too tight, not too sloppy, with a secure velcro fastener and a nice non-scratch lining - the price is a very pleasant surprise. If you've just bought yourself a TomTom I would happily recommend this case for peace of mind. I've given it four stars because I'm not sure I would trust the supplied wrist strap, but maybe I'm overly cautious. Overall very good value.
