tip for xmas!5
I've purchased the colour doodle for my little boy for christmas. If you plan on doing the same it would be advisable to open the box and complete the 'first use' instructions before you let little one get their hands on it on christmas morning. Basically you have to completely fill the screen with colour and then clear the screen 3 times. You have to do this approx 10 times before you hand it over to the kids so it would be advisable to do it before you wrap it, that way they can play with it straight away on xmas morning!

PS: it really is as good as the other reviewers say, i bought it based on their comments. Many thanks.

Kids love it!!!5
My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday and she (and her 5 year old sister) absolutly love it. The colours make it more fun to play with than the standard magna doodles and they never seem to get bored (and there's no mess!!).

I would agree with the other review about the stampers though. They do fall off quite easily.

Previously I have not been very impressed with magna doodles, but they seem to have made a few improvements (unless they did this before and I didn't realise!). The main drawing board can be taken out/removed and you can wipe it down to get rid of any black static marks, which are very often the reason for binning this kind of product.

Great for planes / trains / automobiles !5
I bought this to occupy 2 toddlers on a 4 hour flight and was not disappointed.

I did not 'produce' the toy until we got to the airport so it was still a novelty and it worked wonders - they both were absorbed throughout the flight and it also worked wonders for those times away when they got bored.

Only downside is the stampers get lost very easily but that is really the only bad thing - my kids love this and it's also encouraged my 3 year old to imporove his drawing.
