Manufacturer's Description
The Procter Pest-Stop 2000 Ultrasonic and Electromagnetic Repeller is a technologically advanced device to repel mice, rats, mosquitoes, ants and other crawling insects. The repeller uses fluctuating ultrasonic waves to cause auditory stress to pests and disrupts their normal behaviour, making it uncomfortable for them to stay in the same room as the device, enabling the user to rid an area of pests without the use of traps or chemicals. The mosquito setting emits an ultrasonic signal, which is designed to deter mosquitoes in the room where the unit is positioned, so is also ideal for foreign holidays.
The electromagnetic function uses every electrical cable in the building to carry and transmit a signal, which can be detected by the pests up to 1 metre from any cable, even inside wall and ceiling spaces, and will then repel them.
The device plugs into a standard three pin socket, so it can be used in any room of the house or other building type and is safe to use in the vicinity of humans, cats, dogs, fish and birds. It will cover a house or other building of up to 2000 square feet, and the ultrasonic function will work best when there are few obstructions in its way.
The Procter Pest-Stop 2000 repeller is supplied ready for immediate use and is complete with instructions.

problem not solved..
I bought this repeller for just under £36.00, and I am very disappointed with it. For the first few weeks, I did not see any mice around the house and I was very happy about it. However this morning, I saw a mouse about 30cm away from the repeller. I think somehow they learn to tolerate ultrasonic waves. Unfortunately this attractive device has not solved my problem.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, I bought this as I've had a mice problem. I was hopeful but walked my front room today where the device has been plugged in for over a week to find a mouse on it. Happily standing on it. What a con.
Satisfied Customer
We live in rural Devon and we'd been plagued by wood mice for 15 years - in all parts of our house, doing £100s of damage. Since we installed this device over a year ago, they've left us alone. Still rife in the garden & outbuildings, and in neighbours' houses, but our house is currently wood mouse free...
So I'd say, give it a try. Maybe its effectiveness varies from species to species. Could be the people it's not working for are dealing with house mice (grey/black urban animals) rather than wood mice (brown rural counterparts).
