At last!!
I had been waiting for this album for over a year now. I never got around to buying it from the band's official website on Japanese import. I had built up a lot of anticipation for this album and I am not disappointed in the slightest. Pure Duff McKagan at his very best. His singing voice (although I have always liked it) has improved and his guitar work is accomplished. The album deals with dark subject matter as suggested by the title. A lot of the lyrics seem to stem from Duff's detox and subsequent revitalisation. Anyway, I have never been fond of those who over-analyse music so I will be brief. This album is an absolute MUST for any Guns n Roses/Duff McKagan fan. It will also appeal to anyone who enjoys hard rock with a punk edge.
