Customer Reviews

Dance music, Cuban Style4
Oh Dear, it seems that some of the other reviewers have mis-interpreted this CD.
This is Cuban-beats not Cuban folk music. As such, it's pretty good. Certainly capturing the atmosphere of Cuban music and applying it to a modern dance feel. Some of this stuff certainly wouldn't be out of place in many a club.
If you like dancing or even just jiggling this is worth a listen, for not that much money for 3 cd's.

Cubam-themed electronica2
This album contains medium-quality dance music with a latin theme and is most definitely not traditional/acoustic Cuban music. I think that it would make acceptable background music for the type of bar that reeks of Red Bull at three in the afternoon.

Not impressed at all1
I was hoping to get an introduction to Cuban music... this wasn't it at all. It was just synthesizer music, with a few cuban stylie beats over the top, the sort of music you would expect to hear in a lame pub having a 'cuban night'. After this error, I bought another album form Amazon called 'A Night in Havana', this one was great, just what I was looking for, original cuban music, real depth and atmosphere.
