Customer Reviews
Excellent
This is a wonderful CD with traditional Christmas music. Surprised by review complaining about sound quality - no problems at all with my copy - completely hiss free in fact!
Great content - techically flawed
This CD is an example of why people resent paying high prices (especially in the UK) for CDs. It is a long time since I have heard such a shoddy recording with unacceptable levels of hiss and distortion as well poorly equalised volume levels across the album. This is a pity since the material is actually very good and is the perfect background to Christmas - call me Scrooge if you will, but shame on UCJ (Universal) - their sound engineers do not deserve a good Christmas - probably the technically the worst recording on CD ever!
A message for the manufacturers of CDs/DVDs is as the playing equipment gets better we have yet to see any real effort being made to lift the qualities of recordings.
