Doesn't one just love to remember the happy, happy sound of the Radio 1 Roadshow as it made its annual summer pilgrimage around the UK - stopping-off at cultural high-spots including Swanage, Hunstanton and Scarborough? Now you don't have to queue for hours to watch DLT dressed in a gorilla suit. You can, instead, bring the cheesy but dangerously compelling 'magic' of radio competitions into your very own front room with the assistance of this high-tech iPod game. Highly interactive, and ever-so-addictive, it enables you to test yourself - and your chums - against the clock, guessing the tunes and lyrics of some of the world's finest recording artistes and answering questions about these artistes. Enabling all of one's iPod capabilities to spring to life, this is a sonic treat; a veritable aural feast for the ears. In short, it plays music, too. Which is probably just as well. Like the Radio 1 Roadshow, it's fun and frothy. Unlike the Radio 1 Roadshow, you won't have to pay ?10 for a badly-made t-shirt with a picture of Gary Davies on it. And that alone makes it worth the money.

Manufacturer's Description
The i-No Music Quiz Game is an interactive gaming system that turns listening to your iPod into an energetic, social and interactive activity for friends and families. If you have an iPod, you can play i-No. It's the only iPod gaming system officially licensed by Apple. Simply insert your iPod in the iPod module and get ready to play a fun, fast and furious game of music trivia as players take turns transforming their personal iPods into an interactive music party. Test your knowledge, share your musical tastes and learn what it takes to make your friends' personal playlists. The unit can also be used as an iPod docking station.
It's a new twist on the original TV show, Name That Tune. Just set your iPod to shuffle and you're ready to go. By using one of four wireless remotes (included), players guess the name of randomly chosen song, artist, or album as they take turns inserting their iPods into i-No. The first person to buzz their remote gets to guess the answer--pressing the remote pauses the music and locks out the rest of the players. The indicator light on top of I-No will light up in the colour corresponding to the player who pressed their remote. It will also display the player's score. Action cards add more spice to the game, as they determine whether the player has to guess the song, artist or album. There are also additional cards which either help players win extra points or make players perform extra tasks (such as a spelling contest or karaoke!). The player with the highest number of points is the winner. Please note: an iPod is not included with the game console.

Good laugh at a party or an evening with friends
My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to try this out at a friend's house before buying our own version, so we got to see whether it was worth the money. We had such a laugh, and it's helpful if you've had a few drinks or know someone who's very competitive (or claims they know a lot of music!). The extra activity cards included kept the game varied and more unpredictable, as they can make you lose your next turn or you have to spell the artist's name or whatever.
I liked the fact that you can record each person's score in the unit by pressing the up and down buttons, and it will automatically show a person's score each time they click their remote to answer a question. I don't think the game is that flimsy, as the previous reviewer says -- OK, it's made of plastic but most games are these days. And it works fine with our 30GB iPod and our friends' more recent 60GB version, so I don't think there are any compatibility problems with the newer iPods. There's a list in the instructions of every iPod you can use with the game and it includes pretty much every model, old and new. Overall, it's a good quiz game for what it is--easy to use, fun for all ages, interactive and challenging... what more do you want from a game?!
my daughter loves this
i bought this for my daughter as it was on sale i thought it was worth a purchase , and my 15 year old absolutely loves it ,, she uses it as an ipod dock as well as playing the game , many hours of fun to be had from this item .
Be Warned!
Very dissapointed, I purchased this item for my husband for Xmas, however although it says on the packaging and content that it is compatible with 'all Ipods' in fact it is not this will not fit for sure the 4th Generation 60g colour Ipod.
The item also seems very flimsy, for something endorsed by Apple.
