Synopsis
Some days it is not easy being a witch especially with the challenge of practising your craft in a world of nine-to-five mortals. This comprehensive guide to magickal living spans the intellectual, physical, as well as magickal and philosophical aspects of a witch's life. It focuses on the history and development of modern Wicca; its core beliefs and practices; and magickal techniques such as successful spellcasting, aura reading, and Tarot and rune reading.
Customer Reviews
Finally... Where has this book been?
Unbelieveable. Kala provides an agony aunt approach to living your life the Magic(k)al Way. She really has lived her life and has many answers.
She covers philosophy, theology, and history thoroughly and without flaw.
Despite it's size, it makes for very light reading. I often feel in the mood to pick up a chapter and read. Her style is informative, interesting, and pleasant. She writes with a coolness and calmness that is so rarely seen in books today.
There are sections on practical and theoretical witchcraft as well, for those moments when you do need to flick to something. She covers the Qabbalah, which, although I am not particularly a believer in the Hebrew Tree of Life, it makes for an interesting read. It looks at Chakra, and many other areas, I won't bore you with the list! But, it is thorough.
I really must insist that you buy this book. It certainly sets the bar high for any future book that I purchase.
Great approach to a Great Subject
Although i am a witch from a completely different and monothiestic path, but i found this book to serve not only wiccans, but witches of all the paths and religious frames. Which is expected from a bookwhich displays tolerance as a basic doctrin. I salute Kala Trobe.
Indispensable
The Witch's Guide to Life is absolutely indispensable. Not only is it comprehensive, but the words on the page are unforced, unproblematic, and flow elegantly and effortlessly across white pages effulgent in wisdom.
