4) deal with key assessment experiences including target setting, levelling work and record keeping;

6) cope with challenges such as working with others, behaviour and child protection issues;
7) review progress and maximise the benefits of the placement going forward.
The Achieving QTS Practical Handbooks series.
The Achieving QTS series provides trainees with core knowledge and understanding for a range of subjects and topics. The Practical Handbooks help trainees use and demonstrate this knowledge more actively in planning and implementing lessons. The series covers both specific subject areas and particular issues and skills.
Each book:
1) provides a bridge between studying teaching and putting it into practice;
2) clearly focuses on classroom practice and effective teaching;
3) extends and deepens knowledge and understanding through practical examples and contextualisation.

Customer Reviews
nervous about your school placements?
I was absolutely terrified about starting my first school placement last year. One of my lecturers told me about this book and it helped me feel so much more relaxed about my first few days in school. It gives you advice on how to deal with difficult kids as well as activity suggestions which the children really enjoyed. I'd highly recommend this book if you're going into your first placement soon.
Final year teaching student review
This is a very good book to support learning that takes place whilst on teaching placement. It was recommended to me by my tutor and I have found it very useful to back up what I have been doing in placement.
