An insightful, interesting and useful book!4
The Magic of Conflict does an excellent job of reframing conflict in way that makes a lot of sense. For example, when discussing the nature of conflict Thomas Crum states:

"It's not whether you have conflict in your life. It's what you do with that conflict that makes a difference."

There are many other useful concepts in the book. For example, Crum recommends focusing on finding your "Center" and using it to handle situations in life. Crum's definition of "Center" is authenticity. In other words, when we come from our center we are in touch with who we really are.

Crum also talks about fear and how to deal with it. He points out that fear is becoming stuck in time and worrying about a possible future occurrence, which may be based on a (real or imagined) past experience. He suggests handling fear by stepping out of the remembrances of the past and return to the present moment.

Well thought out and written, this is an insightful, interesting and useful book. The methods this book discusses are easy to understand. They take some time to apply, but are well worth the effort. Overall, a great read!

An Excellent Book!5
This book uses the principles of the Japanese martial art, Aikido, to positivley harmonise conflict at home, work or anywhere. There is no attack in aikido and if done correctly your attacker is not harmed by your technique. All in all it is a very gentle and intelligent explanation of how we can all live and co-exist even with the most difficult of people.

I would say this book is unique in that the starting point is to change ourselves and not the attacker.

Instead of avoiding difficult people, I now hope they make themselves available to me so that I can have another chance to put into practice the special information imparted by Thomas.

How we perceive verbal attacks and cope with them is very important and you will not be left disapointed by the effectivness of this approach. It is practical and it really works. I feel I am duty bound to tell everyone I meet about this very special fountain of knowledge.

It is a very large book in size and page number and there is much to discover about Ki, meditation, energy of an attack, blending with an attacker and winning ethically so all concerned are properly considered.

I am 100% happy with this book and I think you will be too!
