The birth of the greatest decepticon of them all
This is the story of how Megatron went from a enegron mining bot to the most feared Decepticon of them all, see how it began. How Megatron rose up and became Gladiator and evenly plans the fall of the Cybertron's government. This is the prequel to the IDW G1 universe (infiltration, Stormbringer, Escalation, Devastation), this where it starts.
This collection is a must have for all Generation one fans, see Megatron Advent to becoming the most famous Decepticon of them all!
Rise of a tyrant? Or a call for revolution?
At last a detailed back story for Megatron, and mighty surprising it was too. Not only did he emerge as an a ruthless fighter, but an inspirational leader that could lead anybody to smash the system. Because one of the most interesting aspects is the Cybertron in the book, truly a mechanical paradise, but only if you are one of the rich, corrupt, capitalist minority who rule it. In the shadows lurk huge numbers of alienated poor, and the security forces keeping them in their place are almost exclusively made up of those we would later see as 'heroic' autobots. Are they truly heroes? And Megatron, the 'villain', is just the 'bot to unite those disempowered and take power for themselves. A startling twist on the usual tale of him simply being evil. The writing is top quality and the art very good and detailed, although quite dense and needs a second look to understand completely what is going on. Highly reccommended for all TF fans.
