I always take a Lonely Planet Guide with me...
...as always, I'm not disappointed with my purchase. These books are always very useful when you are looking for places to stay, places to eat and for travel information between cities. I'm glad I waited for the new edition too as I got all up to date information.

Excellent Book
This was a very usefull book for us. We didn't know much about the history or the country before we went, but now we do! There is some really great background information in the book for in-flight reading. There is loads of useful info about most places, some great restaurant reccommendations and I particularly liked the walking tour of Split. We would have been lost without it. I think it was a lucky choice, but I've since compared some of the others and this seems to be the best by far. It made our holiday very enjoyable.

Great general guide
Used this guide for a recent trip to Croatia - Split and some of the neighbouring islands.
As with all LP gudies it was comprehensive and made planning our trip easy peasy!
