Invaluable 2!
I have just returned from Israel, a couple of days ago. This was the guide that I took with me having spent an age trying to work out which to buy. In Israel I travelled from the Hula Valley in the north to Jerusalem. Visiting sites of beauty and historical interest along the way. It seems to me every grain of sand has some history in that land. I found that this travel guide was invaluable. Clear information and accurate. I highly recommend it. I used it to find hotels, bird reserves, wonderful restaurants and the best hummus in Israel. You'll have to buy the book to find that for yourself! In fact, I'm just going to order another one to send to someone in Israel!
Invaluable
Having recently returned from Israel, I must say my most important travelling companion was the Bradt guide to this fascinating country. Very well laid out, up-to-date and informative as well as being user friendly, enabling me to find easily and quickly relevant information on a particular subject. I particularly enjoyed the detailed insights into culture, history, local customs and language (the Hewbrew listing was used constantly). The author gives helpful and honest descriptions and, since my return, I find I am still dipping into this excellent guide with much enjoyment.
ignorance and bias.
