Can't wait to get started5
Firstly this book is firmly aimed at those who are travlling on a limited budget. If your planning on touring the world staying in hotels and resorts and not having to worry about the pennies then this really isn't for you. However if you have got a limited budget and plan to head of the beaten track then get yourself a copy now.
In clear well organised sections it will help you choose your pack, organise your finances, travel safely, what to take and a host of other usefull advice. Not just that but its a fun read too. The Author used his own experiences to develope his points but always remends you that it's your journey and you need to make your own decisions.
This book is not a guide to the world itself altough there is a region section included. It's all about preparing for your journey and starting out equiped with the things you need to know.

A must-have for anyone embarking on world travel5
I haven't even left yet and already this book has put my mind at ease about travelling. There is absolutely everything in there about planning your trip, your route, tips to help you decide where to go, how to get there and ideas of what to do while you're there. There is a section dedicated to web addresses to find information on everything you will need to know from where to buy a rucksack to pre booking a place on a certain course. It tells you what time of year to avoid certain places, due to weather and even tells you what time of year you can hitch rides on yachts!!!

Informative, inspiring and useful5
I would highly recommend this book when about to plan a round the world trip or indeed any kind of solo travel where you will need to plan your own routes and accomodation.

It is inspiring and colourful with vibrant pictures giving you ideas about where you may like to go, and detailed tips and information about all aspects of your trip. It covers what to take, how much to take, who to travel with and even deals with coming home again.

It is written in a way that appeals to both young students/graduates/young people who are about to embark upon an adventure but it is not soley for this group. It offers tips for those on a career break and those that may have to deal with renting out their own property when they go away so I feel it would be useful for all travellers of all ages.

The end of the book gives brief highlights and accounts of continents to get you thinking about where you might like to go and throughout the book there are leads and links to places where you can access further information on the topics covered.

I think that this is one of the best books i've read on the subject and worth investing in to maximise your trip.
