Product Description

A special feature of "Philip's Navigator Trucker's Britain 2010" is the inclusion of over 4000 low bridges, and their height restrictions, which are clearly marked on the maps. The maps also show speed-camera locations, with their speed limits, and provide over 3000 road names as well as numbers. The atlas also includes a massive selection of 100 indexed town-centre maps, detailed approach maps to 12 major urban areas, plus route-planning maps, a distance table, and a fully comprehensive 43,000-name index. The main road maps are at 1.5 miles to 1 inch (Northern Scotland at 3 miles to 1 inch) and are extra clear and detailed, showing even the smallest roads and lanes that are omitted from other atlases. Every roundabout, junction and slip-road is shown in detail on main roads and motorways. The alpha-numeric grid is based on the National Grid, so that the atlas can be used with GPS systems, and the grid squares have been made smaller for this edition, making it easier to find locations when using the index. Philip's Navigator is widely used by professional drivers and the emergency services, including national police training, and is recommended in the motoring press and national newspapers.

Not Quite Perfect5
Bought this for caravanning as height and width restrictions are essential when towing. The scale is brilliant nearly as good as Ordnance Survey maps 1.5" to 1 mile also clarity is very good. Also plenty of town centre maps. Weight limits are also shown for roads and bridges and I have noticed that in our local area some are not shown that have been in force for quite a few years so it is not quite perfect. Overall best map I have ever bought would recommend it to anyone towing a caravan or driving a large motorhome.

Philip's Naviagator Trucker's Britain 2010 (Road Atlases)5
Excellent atlas for use with a caravan. Having been led into some very narrow roads with a sat nav this atlas is ideal..

Good for caravanners4
I purchased this item as it was recommended in a magazine for caravanners because of the large scale - it is difficult to turn round/reverse etc when towing a caravan therefore acurate navigation is important and sat navs have a habit of directing us down unsuitable roads. I have not been anywhere with the caravan since my purchase but having looked through the atlas I like the large scale and feel that it will be a good buy.
