Manufacturer's Description
The Smart, Compact SD Card Camcorder
The SDR-S7 is an ultra-compact, go-anywhere camcorder. As well as its small size, it offers light weight and superb mobility made possible by SD/SDHC Memory Cards, letting you shoot video with the same convenience you'd enjoy with small digital still cameras. For occasions when it may have seemed a bit awkward to pull out a camcorder, such as on short outings or business trips, the SDR-S7 is ideal.
The Quick Start function allows the S7 to begin recording just 0.6 of a second from the time the LCD is opened, making it easier to catch those special moments that come with no warning and all in clear MPEG2 DVD quality.
Convenient for travellers, the new world timer function eliminates the need to manually reset the camcorder time when crossing time zones. Simply select your destination from the displayed map and the time is adjusted automatically. The time can be set for two different locations, such as home and a destination. The user can switch between them by the simple press of a button.
Memory Cards provide an ideal combination of size, impact resistance, and extended recording capability, making them one of the best-balanced media for the future. The 16GB SDHC Memory Card allows up to approx 13 hours 20 minutes in the LP recording mode.

SD Camcorder
Fantastic digital camcorder, good quality pictures and so easy to use and so small for your pocket. The SDHC cards can be transferred quickly to your computer with the supplied software and is easily edited. The 16:9 recording format gives perfect replay on my widescreen tele and computer moniter. I love it!
Shame about the software.
Really great "little" camera. Very easy to use. But don't even bother to load the software. Completely un-userfriendly. You'll probably get there in the end but I wasted loads of time just trying to burn the simplest of videos. Decided to buy Adobe Premier which (although it meant spending more money) was infinitely better. Camera five stars (or even 6!). Software zero stars.
Camcorder
An easy Camcorder to use for a non expert like me, It is so small it fits in your pocket and downloads off the sandisk to your PC easily.
The software it easy to use as well but I will need more practise to put sound on, and you need a DVD burner if you haven't got one, but it records onto a CD fine.
