Great & well researched
Buxton's book is one of the "diamonds" of my personal bookcase. As a Greek native, I felt obliged, in a way, to learn the ancient mythological past of my nation that influenced a lot the story telling and maybe the whole literature of the Western World. Moreover, I searched for a book that would be easy in reading, well researched and what fascinated me the most are the hundreds of illustrations that are provided. The book fits perfect to anyone who has a similar research and interest but also it fits for anyone who wants to have a total view about these fascinating stories who are not just legends or fairy tales but notions, ideas and morals that affected many cultures. In this book, the Greek myths are considered as all time classics who were written more that 2000 years ago but are still read as brand new and modern. A great book for everyone!!!!!!
