DVD Description
Just A Dream is very much a bookend of an incredible year that saw Weller deliver a critcally acclaimed Number 1 album 22 Dreams, a Brit Award for Best Male Solo Artist and 3 sold out UK tours. The main DVD feature is the full 90 minute live session recorded for the BBC, with 21 tracks in all and six previously unseen performances. Other features include a 5-track session recorded for Channel 4, the videos for "Have You Made Up Your Mind" and "Echoes Round The Sun" and an exclusive and candid end-of-2008 interview with Paul and his band. The CD features 13 blistering live tracks recorded from the Brixton Academy, London in November 2008, including tour exclusive versions of "Shout To The Top" and "Eton Rifles". The set is packaged in a hardback bookcase and includes a 32-page booklet of previously unseen photos taken during the course of the year.
Customer Reviews
Paul Weller on top form and on DVD,great stuff!
First I'm a huge PW fan, from The Jam,through Style Council, and through his solo albums ,his live shows he's one of the most original and talented rock artists of all time. This tremendous set shows why. This is superbly filmed by the Beeb (what else would you expect).Looks good sounds great, and above all PW whether doing material from the new album (then) or reworking other well known songs produces a fresh approach throughout. The band lead by surely one of Britain's finest guitarists Steve Craddock (Ocean Colour Scene) along with the others in Paul's new band really as said bring a new vibe to the songs, and guests like Little Barry and especially the wonderful fiddle playing of Eliza Carthy (just listen to Wild Wood) continues this wonderful recording.Add to that strings and a brass section and you have 90 mins. of Weller magic. But there's more great extras on the DVD plus great photos in the hardcover book style of the presentation box itself. If that's not enough an hour of the set at Brixton in November last year on CD.This is a truly stunning set for any true PW fan,but will be welcomed surely by any music lover that's ever listened to him.Shame you can't give more than 5 stars because this wonderful set is worth it.
Here's the list.

Dreamtime
The half century has been more than kind to Mr Weller. In this well produced collection of full length BBC4 concert, with an array of guest appearances, to rehearsal footage, videos and a one to one interview with the man himself, this is an excellent DVD for any fan and more. Weller is in fine voice and the tightness of the new band, with the silky fingers of Steve Craddock still to the fore, has allowed this DVD to capture the full soulful power and pounding relevance of Weller as Britain's outstanding songwriter and performer. The energy and the transcendence one fells from the floorboards up when at a Weller gig is caught here. The great thing is that it is not a dream. As ever Weller keeps it real!
