Dogs are not wolves!
Barry's book sets out the case that as dogs are not wolves, we shouldn't assume that their behaviour 'naturally' mirrors that of wolves. He highlights the inconsistences of the Dominance Theory, especially in relation to the actual behaviour our pet dogs display. Barry also offers advice on how to live without adhering to the outdated Theory. All in all, this book is a great starting point for those with an interest in our pet dogs.
essential reading
This book gives the facts and dismisses the myths about dogs and their behaviour. So much misunderstanding around and dog's suffering due to people who are way off beam. Every owner, carer and trainer should read this book. I would have given five stars but the book is thin, and would have liked more content. But what it does cover is first rate.
