Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
A year after Canadian heart-throb Michael Bublé made his debut, the CD/DVD set Come Fly with Me chronicles his crowd-pleasing performances on a triumphant tour. The audio portion kicks off with pair of new studio recordings that underline his 1950s-something leanings with mixed results: "Nice 'n' Easy" has a Sinatra-faithful jazzy swing; the overproduced, somnambulistic "Can't Help Falling in Love" evokes Perry Como more than Elvis. Most of the rest of the audio CD comprises live versions of songs from Bublé's debut, with his takes on "My Funny Valentine", "Fever", Van Morrison's "Moondance" and "Mack the Knife" again suggesting that Bublé has an ear cocked wisely towards Bobby Darin.

With the notable exception of three elegant live-in-studio performances culled from Sessions@AOL, the live DVD does Bublé's undeniably charming stage presence a great disservice. Intercut awkwardly with offstage comments by Bublé and his band, the balance of that disc suffers from an MTV-inspired cut/dissolve-every-three-seconds style that's intended to focus one's attention, but does exactly the opposite. If sudden stardom virtually guarantees that Bublé's impossibly smooth, expressive voice seldom ventures very far outside the Sinatra/Darin mould here, it's to be hoped that he'll use that fame as a springboard to greater artistic challenges in the near future. --Jerry McCulley

CD Description
'Come Fly With Me' is the follow up to Canadian vocalist Michael Buble's 2001 self-titled album. The modern swing artist along with Jamie Cullum, Katie Melua et al. has been dubbed a founder of the 'New Ratpack' and on this release he indeed evokes the 1950's era sound of Sinatra, Martin and Davis.Jr whilst also exploring the 60's jazz sound. This edition also contains a bonus DVD.

5 stars isn't enough5
i have listened to both of his cds now i let me tell you he is on top form with this album. it's a pity he doesn't release a single because any one of these tracks would be great and if i had my way it would be number one.
i seem to be the only one in my generation who enjoys this kind of music. it's a pity as well because talent like this should be appreciated. i recommend you buy this just to hear his soothing voice through your hi fi.

my favourite trck is ... well all of them. i can't possibly choose one.

if you don't want to go on the words of a stranger who could be talking nonsense then go on the words of micheal parkinson who also is a big fan of his aswell.

Nice and simple!3
The star rating is for the music. Michael sings many popular songs and must face the possibility of being compared to the people that made tem popular. Many people in that position do funny things with the music, thinking that they have to make it unique; Michael does not have to do this (with little exception). He is just being his self and it is great just the way he is.
On the other hand this package also contains a DVD which can make great jewelry or maybe hung from a tree to scare birds. It is like one big sound bite; there is no constancy or course to his rattling. On the technical side the soundtrack is out of sing with the video. The video itself looks like the Blair Witch Project; it can not hold steady or focus.

I am completely hooked!5
A fantastically brilliant album. I am completely hooked and just love the way he sings, with Moondance and Kissing a Fool being my favourites.

The DVD is a bonus and not only do you get to see Michael singing you get a little insight into his world and meet his band.
