I went through a bit of a vampire phase this year; even though these are technically kids books they're still worth a look.

The writing wasn't brilliant but the storyline was ok. The sequels are worth a look too, but bear in mind that this is a teenagers book.

I enjoyed this all the way through... until the ending, which I re-wrote in my head. Much more satisfactory! Shreve fans will like it, but not her best.

I adore most books about food and this was no exception. Looking forward to getting my hands on her next novel.

An amazing debut, an unbelievable novel generally. Just astonishing. It will stay with you for a long time. This is a book that everyone should read.
