An Excellent Book, I am so glad I found it
I am still in the first trimenster but so far am so glad I found this book early. It is my first pregnancy and I found the other books I had found had no or very little information on twins and the pregnancy of twins. I have been feeling sick as a parrot but ravenously hungry at the same time. If I had not read this book I would have been trying to cut back on what I ate since all the material for singleton pregnancies says you need to eat only the same amount as normal. The book is also so easy to read and refer to. So far I've found nothing like it on the market.
Too much emphasis on food
I had twins in July 2000. I bought this book and the section on food scared me. I don't feel it is necessary to ram fatty foods down you in order for your twins to gain weight. Eat what you feel you can eat. I could only eat little and often, and eat lots of fish, and breakfast cereals, vegetables, pasta. My twins were born at 35 weeks weighing 6lb 6 and 6lb 8 oz, so don't feel that you have to overload on dairy products like the book suggests. I did rest whenever I could and the sections about this are valid and very important. Sadly the sections about US medical care are really not applicable to us because we certainly are suffering with poor care in this country. Otherwise a good read.
This book illustrates how to create the healthiest multiples
This is my first pregnancy and we are expecting twins March 2001. There is very little information out there or help from the medical profession as regards multiple pregnancies. This book help fills the gap in terms of nutrition and rest which I never realised were so critical to delivering your babies to nearly 36 weeks or so. This book empowers you through lots of helpful tips, to give your babies the very best start in life. I thoroughly recommend it and find myself constantly re-reading it.
