Customer Reviews

You will learn nothing from this1
If you are interested in getting better at chess do not buy this book. If you want something that states the obvious and disguises it as advice, go ahead. There are no tips as such in here; you will not learn the Nimzo Indian defence or the King's Gambit from this. Instead you get 50 pages of platitudes such as "watch the clock", and "be a gracious winner". Overall the book has the tone of a Carol Kaplin style "life coach" who rips you off by stating the blinking obvious. You will learn more about chess from reading a copy of "Heat" magazine than you will from this toilet paper.
