Unexpected quality
I ordered this item for my Canon EOS 450D and it promptly arrived just 2 days after ordering. To be honest I didn't expect much for the price, but I thought I would take the risk rather than pay £15+ for an official product.
I'm glad I did. This is a great piece of kit. Well made, light, easy to use, and for the price you can't really argue. Works as I had hoped - press half way and the camera focuses, press fully and the camera takes the picture. Highly recommended for the casual/semi-pro photographer with a camera that this will fit.

Great Value Remote Switch
Just received it and it is just what I wanted. As others have said, it has the half-press capability which causes focus and exposure lock without taking the picture. Press all the way down for the final picture. This remote switch enables you to use a tripod and slow shutter speeds without touching the camera.
