Does what it says
This is the second Belkin 7 port hub I have owned . The first was the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub which lasted 1.5 years before failing.
This newer version seems to run a lot cooler than that one. I especially like the 2 vertically mounted USB connectors which are ideal for plugging in and out USB flash drives.
It is totally compatible with all my external stuff ( The older version used to keep loosing the connection to my Freecom external hard drive). Although this new version won't drive my Freecom toughdrive which takes all its power from the USB port. And I can't connect it to the last remaining USB port on my laptop as using this hub (like my last) stops that last USB port operation. Not sure if this is what normally happens with hubs or its just my setup.

It gets 4 stars.... I've told it if it lasts 2 years I'll give it an extra star..here's hoping

USB Hubs
absolutely brilliant ,just plugged into my imac and it worked straight away and £10 cheaper than J Lewis. well worth the money!

Not so Good design
This Belkin 7 Port USB Hub does what it is supposed to do, but I am always disappointed by design which are not properly thought through. On this hub 5 of the USB connections are on the front, but also the host and the power connections, leaving the USB ports crammed and no space for anything more bulky than a standard USB connector.
