Average customer review:Product Description
For each Sunday of the year, there is a brief commentary and reflection, taken from Tom Wright's weekly 'Church Times' column, on the Common Worship lectionary readings. Each section gives the lectionary references and gives a starting-point for thinking about the readings, drawing out points of connection between them. The book can be used for regular Bible study throughout the year, or for sermon preparation. It covers all Sundays in the year, using track 1 (Daily Eucharistic Lectionary) for the Sundays after Trinity.

Customer Reviews
Practical thought-provoking aid for preaching.
Tom Wright is always a good read. The concise nature of his writing is to be applauded. This series is a good companion to his Bible Commentaries, which I tend to consult, along with others, when preparing sermons. It's a useful stimulus, even if you do not choose to follow his theme. Also, on those occasions when the scriptural links of the Lectionary may seem more obscure, this book can remove some of the haze.
