Product Description

In Babylon Rising Tim LaHaye began an adventure series that he calls even more exciting than his 50-million-plus-copy bestselling Left Behind series. Readers agreed, as the novel debuted as a top-ten New York Times bestseller.

Now, in the second Babylon Rising novel, Biblical scholar, archaeologist, professor, and hero for our times Michael Murphy is in pursuit of one of the most mysterious and sought-after of all Biblical artefacts, Noah’s Ark. As Murphy undertakes his death-defying quest to ascend Mount Ararat, he will discover dramatic revelations of Biblical prophecies and be drawn even closer to the most terrifying evil about to be unleashed on all mankind.

With The Secret on Ararat following close on the heels of Glorious Appearing, the fastest-selling Left Behind novel ever, Tim LaHaye will further prove to be one of the most fascinating and popular storytellers of our time.

[for Babylon Rising:] Nonstop action...there are enough cliff-hangers for a dozen Saturday serials. Michael Murphy is cool, brainy, sexy, and valiant! (New York Daily News )

Customer Reviews

Great book, but let down in places...4
I thoroughly enjoyed both this and the first book in this series, BUT both books for me were let down badly by the ending. You were pulled along on a real rollercoaster ride of a story in both, but 6 pages from the end of this one, I had an idea this one was once again going to leave me as the first had - wondering why the ending is so weak given the potential available for a much more hard hitting one. This book sees the intrepid explorer Murphy once again heading out on a hugely dangerous expedition to boldly go where nobody had ever gone before, to track down the infamous "Noah's Ark", and it holds to much of the current knowledge about the ark and its likely size, shape and location etc. Once again, the forces of evil are out in force, and you get drawn into their plan wondering why they are so determined to get the info on the ark, and also how they intend on doing it. But even here the storyline is much weaker than in the first book, but riveting nonetheless. Its just rare to get to the end of such an enjoyable book and be left going "Is that it?" but don't let that stop you if you enjoy this type of fiction. Just don't expect it to be up to the Left Behind's quality of writing :(.

exciting thriller5
An exciting sequel to the first book, with solid building of characters developed in the first book

A load of Creationist propaganda masked as a thriller1
Please avoid this book at all costs. Not only is it badly written, with shallow characterisation and unbelievably crass dialogue. It is also a book which seeks academic credentials from sources that defy belief as credible historical references.

This is creationist propaganda disguised as what what purports to be serious fiction. Anyone taken in by this arrant nonsense needs to start taking their medication - NOW.
