Customer Reviews

His Best Yet...5
Matt Redman continues to inspire and deliver fantastic music based on good Christian principles. The lyrics are inspiring and the music is awesome. Awesome combination.

Brilliant, truly brilliant5
Matt Redman has grown on me. He has always been a gifted worship leader but I found alot of his early work quite wordy and stripped. Where Angel's Fear To Tread, was better, with some great songs and the introduction of what I think will be a classic, Blessed Be Your Name. However, with Facedown, Matt really shines and you can truly enter in and connect to this album. Blessed Be Your Name, Matt Redmans volume of worship songs is the breaking point, he has found his sound. The title track is stunning, and other tracks such as Let Everything That Has Breath just make you so excited. His gifting in prophetic worship is evident too.

All Matt Redman needed to do was to go back to the studio, with two fantastic live albums under his sleeve and the experience from his other average (yet well produced) studio albums and come out with a classic. And that he has.

This album is absolutely stunning. I, for one, prefer female worship leaders because I find many men sing too high, and their albums just never make the mark (apart from Brenton Brown's new release). But this album, is just beautiful. The title track is powerful and is built up. The track "Shine" is so uplifting, and "Take It To The Streets" is just a brilliant track. You often find, with worship singers/leaders, their albums can have some poor slower songs that you can't really connect to, but with Matt's new studio release this isn't the case. "If You Know You're Loved By The King" just finishes the album with me smiling because it may be slow but it truly is beautiful. The song may only be four lines long but Matt gives it life and depth and just makes me smile when I hear it.

This is one of my favourite albums because it has so many genres all built in, from praising and celebration, to proclamation, to the trinity etc. An album well worth buying.

The price is absurd1
As I write this, the CD is priced at £18.49, which is just exploitative -- not really what we want to see from a worship album. It's just begging to be downloaded from Gnutella instead. Come on, people: we WANT to pay for our music; but a price like this is taking the mickey.
