Synopsis
Stone Cold Steve Austin returns to the ring one year after being run over to exact his revenge on the Federation in SURVIVOR SERIES 2000. However, Austin's isn't the only grudge match in this lineup of eight other intense rivalries that includes an amazing match between Kurt Angle and the Undertaker as well as The Rock vs. Rikishi. Of course, the Stone Cold vs. Triple H match is this year's main attraction, and it completely lives up to its hype. Perhaps one of the most shocking events in WWF history, SURVIVOR SERIES 2000 is not to be missed.
Customer Reviews
A great all round event with some nice extras
This DVD is well worth the money. It is the first WWF DVD to include the pre-event 'Sunday Night Heat' matches (Jeff Hardy vs. Val Venis), and interviews (Kurt Angle, T&A) and other Heat highlights. The actual event is very good. From solid multi-person matches including Blackman, Crash & Molly vs. T&A and Trish. The traditional elimination matches showcase the Radicalz vs former-DX team mates, Billy Gunn, Chyna and Road Dogg, teaming with K Kwik. The second elimination match includes three teams on their way to legendary status (Hardy Boys, Dudley Boys and Edge and Christian) and the current tag champs, RTC. The card also includes three title matches. William Regal defends the European Championship against Hardcore Holly, Lita takes on Ivory for the womens championship, and Kurt Angle takes on the Undertaker for the World title. The Undertaker aims to win his 4th championship on the 10th anniversary of his WWF debut. In other matches, Kane faces Chris Jericho and the Rock battles Rikishi in a highly emotional match up. And if all that isn't enough, there Austin and Triple H. Possibly the most anticipated non-title match in WWF history, The Texas Rattlesnake goes looking for revenge, one year after The Game masterminded a conspiracy to end Austins career. This truely is as personal as they get. And at the end of all that you still want more, there are post match interviews with 8 WWF superstars!
Not bad....
The first thing to note about this DVD, is it is in NTSC format, which might not work on a PS2 or similar.
Despite being quite old, all the popular wrestlers are in this one, and the matches are all pretty good:
Heat: Before you watch the main event, watch the 'Heat' clips, there is a brilliant interview with T&A, as well as Jeff Hardy vs. Val Venis, and HC Holly insulting William Regal.
Main Event, JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawyer commentate:
6-man tag: Molly Holly, Crash Holly and Steve Blackman vs. T&A and Trish - not a bad match although it would have been better if it had been tornado tag.
Survivor series elimination match:
Radicalz (Guerro, Benoit, Malenko & Saturn) vs. Billy Gunn, Chyna, Road Dogg and K-kwik.
A fun match, although nothing too special, has some decent action.
Chris Jericho vs. Kane
A revenge match for Kane - nothing special
HC Holly vs. William Regal - Euro Title
A short match, although the better man won.
Rock vs. Rikishi
A strong display of form from both wrestlers, but I found the post-match attack rather irritating, not very sporting.
Lita vs. Ivory
A good match, Lita looking great as usual.
WWF Title - Kurt Angle vs. Undertaker
Buy the DVD for the ending of this match alone, its just... well watch it and see.
Survivor Series elimination match:
Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian and RTC with Val Venis
A great match with a super ending.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H
A good wrestling match until the end where it became rather too surreal.
Post Event wrap-up
Coach presents some interviews with the wrestlers.
Overall a good DVD - all the matches were fun to watch first time, but some of the matches will become boring if watched often.
GREAT WWF PPV
Since this was a old ppv the matches are great at the end there was a big suprise.I wont spoil it so get the dvd to find out
