Synopsis
On August 21, 2005, the WWE roared into Washington, D.C. for its annual SUMMERSLAM event. 1.Chris Benoit vs Orlando Jordan(U.S champ)
The saying don't blink, you'll miss a Benoit match lives up to its reputation as this one is over in under a minute! 3/5

2.Matt Hardy vs. Edge
Good match but sad ending. 3/5

3.Eugene vs Kurt Angle
OK match- this one has Kurt's gold medal on the line 3/5

4.Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero r.i.p 1967-2005
Cool match this one's 4 Dominic's custody papers in a ladder match! 4/5

5.JBL vs Batista (World Heavyweight champ)
Over quite quickly but good match anyway, it's no holds barred! 4/5

6. Undertaker vs Randy Orton
This match was good but not as good as I expected, a mysterious interference tipped the scales of the match in favour of Orton!

7.Chris Jericho vs John Cena (wwe champ)
Not being a big fan of Cena myself, I thought Jericho carried Cena through the match. As Cena started to get better though, so did the match. 3/5

8. Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels - first ever legend vs icon match!
Really, really, really good match worth paying the money just to see this. Although I was cheering for Michaels and the fans were cheering for Hogan, this was definitely the best match of the year!!!!! 5/5

This was one of the best PPVS of the year. Overall rating 9/10

Best PPV IN 2005 This Is A Must Buy

A Solid Effort
Good solid event from both RAW and Smackdown!
Match of the night was Orton vs Undertaker!
Ladder match between Rey Mysterio and the late Eddie Guererro lived up to the hype and (for once) good match from John Cena (Which his Opponent Chris Jericho carryed)!
The main event was suprisingly GOOD! However i think it is a shame that not only did Hogan win but he won cleanly! And the handshake shouldnt have happened because that put HBK back into "good guy" mode!
