A good compilation,but missing several key feuds!!4
For wrestling fans on the planet who dont know who Stone Cold Steve Austin is, he's the man who helped rebuild wrestlings (especially WWE's) ailing fortunes, and create the attitude era of the sport that we now see on our tv's every week. In his prime, he was red hot and totally breathed new life into the wrestling scene with his anti hero, take no crap persona.
The problem with this compilation dvd(in my opinion), called "the legacy of SCSA", is that any one who follows wrestling will know that the character SCSA was'nt born until 1996. Pror to that,Austin was known as "stunning" Steve Austin in the WCW,then the "ring master" upon entering the WWE.
Whilst this dvd offers you a good comprehensive carreer biography of Steve Austin,I personally would like to see a dvd compilation of the "stone cold" character. Theres 20 bouts listed on this 3 disc set and i personally would of liked to have seen them all involving the texas rattlesnake persona. Dont get me wrong, his earlier stuff certainly showcases what a talented wrestler he is, and the dvd certainly shows how his style evolved(or a case of having to, after breaking his neck) into the the brawling style utilised by his SCSA character.
The last match listed on this set is the classic Wrestlemania 17 bout versus the Rock. Why havent they shown any of his matches from his then current reign as champion, when he turned into a somewhat cowardly and camp villain? He had a brilliant feud with Kurt Angle. They could of put one of those bouts on. He also had scrapes with RVD and Chris Benoit, the latter was a classic 25 minute Championship bout in Benoits home town, on the the Smackdown show taping. I suppose in light of recent events, that match will probably never see the light of day again.
Other notable bouts missing are, his first championship victory at Wrestlemania 14,the 6 man hell in a cell match and his last title feud with Chris Jericho.
However what you do get is a brilliant 3 stages of hell match against HHH(although if you have SCSA's "What?" dvd, youll have this fight already), a very good ass whoopin of HHH at the Survivor Series, that has an ending that somes up Austins take no prisoners attitude. Theres a match between Austin and his then tag team title partner Shawn Michaels that ends a bit dissapointing compared to their WM14 match.
Overall, there are some good matches on this compilation, and its a a very good biography of Steve Austin the wrestler, not Stone Cold the character.

The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD5
He's one of the most popular Superstars in the history of sports-entertainment, with a resume that includes six WWE Championship reigns, three Royal Rumble victories, a King of the Ring Championship, and an unprecedented run of raising hell throughout WWE. Stone Cold Steve Austin continues to be both popular and controversial, and The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin is a 3 disc set no fan should be without!

The Legacy of the Greatest of all.5
I will thank the WWE for bringing this out and reminding current WWE fans how good wrestling was then and how bad it is now. Also for showing them how good Austin was on the mic without the fans shouting "What" every five seconds and ruining his mic work entirely. As soon as the What chant came in Austins mic work felt forced, as he had to accommodate it, something that should never have happened. The man who turned wrestling upside down who along with The Rock, an in prime HHH, Foley and the Phenom created the greatest era of wrestling there ever was, finally has a tribute worthy. AUSTIN, AUSTIN, AUSTIN, AUSTIN!!!
