Amazon.co.uk Review
Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase takes the finest ingredients from the television series--the original Scooby Gang (minus Scrappy-Doo) and their groovy exclamations ("Zoinks, jinkies!")--and updates the proceedings with a modern recipe. In this animated adventure, the gang's past exploits are immortalised in a video game. Due to an evil computer virus, however, they get sucked into that very game. It consists of several levels, including the Roman Colosseum (shades of Gladiator) and a prehistoric jungle (shades of Jurassic Park). To move from one level to the next, the gang has to find the box of Scooby Snack. With the irrepressible, ever-hungry Shaggy and Scooby--and their cyber-counterparts--part of this intrepid crew, how can they fail to find the snacks, return to reality and, most importantly, bring the creator of the virus to justice? Yoikes!
My kids ( and I!) love this movie. It's high quality scooby-doo (as opposed to those multiple cheap and shoddy scooby cartoons of the 80's - they are terrible!) and no scrappy-dappy-bloomin-doo to boot!
Great stuff, good extras on the DVD - a good, 'ole fashioned' well animated scooby mystery - RECOMMENDED!
scooby doo and the cyber chase
i think by far the best of the scooby doo films, i bought this one for my sons, who are scooby doo mad and they watched it over and over again!! it was rather entertaining that i actually sat down and watched it too
A Scooby must for Scooby Fans
Personally I like the old Scooby and friends so this DVD gave me the best of both worlds - The modern crew meet up with the old gand in Cyber Space - bet you can't guess who the baddy is - my huge scooby fan boyfriend guessed wrong. The usual cheesy lines that make fan howl were present and a great little song at the end for kids of all ages to sing along to.
