Product Description

There are strange happenings in Springfield. People are missing, very mysterious crop circles are appearing and hidden cameras are being exposed. When Homer notices a black van with a satellite dish parked outside the Simpsons house, he decides to investigate further into these odd events. What he reveals could be the biggest mystery to rock Springfield since Who Shot Mr Burns?

The Simpsons Hit & Run promises a hilarious mission-based driving game with exciting out-of-the-car platform gameplay, the signature satire of The Simpsons and the interactive world of Springfield.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Up to now The Simpsons games have been nothing if not consistent: they've all been completely rubbish. However, The Simpsons: Hit & Run thankfully breaks this 100 per cent record, and although it's hardly a classic in its own right it's just the thing for fans who want to worship their favourite characters through the medium of the joypad.

Like many of the more recent Simpsons games Hit & Run is primarily a racing game--a racing game that's very obviously using Grand Theft Auto as its primary inspiration. There's less swearing and gore but just as much running people over and driving lots of different vehicles. You can't steal them off the street, admittedly, and the missions are presented in a much more linear fashion, but otherwise this is GTA: Springfield through and through.

Somewhat embarrassingly for GTA, the on-the-foot sections are actually handled rather better than Rockstar's game, with a fairly non-rubbish camera and a decent control system that actually makes the occasional platform sections rather fun.

Most of the game is about driving, though, whether it be racing Principle Skinner to school in order to give Lisa her homework or helping Bart buy some illegal fireworks from around town. It's only when controlling underage characters such as Bart that the game's concept really starts to seem peculiar (he only drives unmotorised vehicles) but otherwise the addition of all the proper voice actors from the TV show make this the first Simpsons game ever that is in any way worthy of a purchase. --David Jenkins

The Simpsons: Hit & Run4
I do feel like many others that this is the best Simpsons game produced. In this game you play as different characters in different levels. These characters are Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu. it is a mission based driving game. There are 7 levels and in each level you need to complete seven missions plus one bonus mission, although the bonus missions are not necesarry for completion of the game. You also can take part in 3 street races per level. Also there are 7 hidden collecters cards in each level. If you find all 7 you will unlock a multiplayer street race and if you collect all 49 there is an itchy and scratchy suprise.

The plot is that strange wasp cameras are appearing all over springfeild and you must find where they are coming from. Also Bart is kidnapped by a UFO and you must find him.

The Graphics in this game are as good as can be expected from a cartoon world but it ressembles springfeild remarkabley well.

The gameplay, I found, was just right. Not too long too get boring but enough to be worth its value. I would say for an average gamer it should take 48 hours of non-stop gameplay.

The controls are very easy to use. They are also very easy to learn with an extremely well done tutorial level.

The soundtrack in this game is well done but what makes this game good is the voices of the simpsons cast with the same humour you would expect from a simpsons episode.

There are many veichels and costumes for you to play around with in this game.

I dont think this game lives up to its genre. I think that games like the GTA series, The Getaway and Metal Gear Solid are a cut above. However out of simpsons games this is definantely the best and to be fair i dont think this game is trying to be like those games as it is for a younger audience. I think this games lacks variety.Almost every mission is driving based and I would have liked to have seen maybe some on foot missions to vary it a little .However it is a very solid game and definanetly worth its money. Agood buy for any level of gamer.

Grand Theft Auto: Springfield5
This game is as great as I expected. It is like GTA only it is set in the Simpsons' home town on Springfield. There are over 50 missions to complete, and you get to play as Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa and Apu.
I got the last Simpsons game Road Rage which I thought was good, but this is a even better. Travelling around the large town is really fun and you are sure to recognise all the different locations and landmarks.
If you're a Simpsons fan, be sure to get it!

Super Simpsons Strike Simultaneously5
This has to be the best PS2 game of all time for just about anyone. The graphics are amazing and very like what Springfield is like in the cartoon! The game has a strong resemblence to Grand Theft Auto Vice City but is a lot lighter hearted and humorous. It leaves Simpsons Road Rage (like Crazy Taxi - great game) and Simpsons Skateboarding (A load of mince) miles behind.
This game is a must have for any gamer and would make a great Christmas gift for only £27.99!!!!!!
