Manufacturer's Description
3G fanatics look out! The Motorola C975 has arrived merging the latest multi-media technology including: 1.9 inch color display, VGA camera with 4x zoom, video streaming, capture, download and playback. Cutting-edge 3G technology and global roaming ensure that you keep in touch and in style. Designed with both extreme speed and affordability, this sleek silver candybar mobile comes standard with 2-way video calling abilities, high quality audio to pump up MP3 musical ringtones and an external memory card to make sure that that photos, video clips and games can be saved and retrieved without tipping storage limits. A built-in speakerphone, quick and easy syncing capabilities and advanced messaging put the icing on this powerful, little wonder. Catch it when you can.

Rapid information seekers will be delighted at the broadband-like speeds that enable them to take advantage of the latest and greatest in mobile applications, from downloading to sharing multi-media files. Coupled with WCDMA, tri-band GSM/GPRS coverage, the Motorola C975 makes for one perfect travel companion that will keep you informed and engaged where ever your travels may take you.

A large, crisp display and a built-in, high quality speakerphone make the Motorola C975 the perfect mobile for 2-way video calling. Now it's possible to see and hear who is on the other end of the conversation ensuring that you can always connect a name with a face.

When you combine an integrated MP3 player, a VGA camera, advanced messaging capabilities and video streaming, capture, download and playback options; you end up with a powerful tool that you can use to capture and share your mobile life with friends and family. Additionally, your compact mobile offers digital imaging enhancements for tweaking photos and video files as you please.

While the Motorola C975 boasts many powerful features, from the latest in multi-media to rapid downloading to synching and voice recognition, its capabilities don't bulk up the size or the price of this affordable mobile.

For the price of this phone, its fantastic. Great features and I would say good for the money. There are two downfalls with this phone, which is the battery life is poor and the phone is not bluetooth.

Featurewise, the C975 is a good all-rounder with everything that you would expect from a 3G phone: video calling & video content downloads, integrated mp3 player, integrated speakerphone, a good quality display, and an expandable memory. The expandable memory is a very useful feature, enabling you to store content like video clips and MP3 tracks on a TransFlash card (up to 256 Mbytes), although you shouldn't expect to be able to store as much as a dedicated mp3 player.

There are two cameras on the C975. The first points inwards and is used for video calling. The second faces outwards and is intended for taking pictures of people or scenes. The quality of both cameras is fine, and the screen is large with 65k colours. It compares favourably with rival 3G phones.

Usefully, the C975 comes with an integrated speakerphone and voice dialling - ideal for video calls.

The build quality of the C975 is not really up to scratch and it does have a tendency to break. The joystick is also badly designed and is not easy to use. There is nothing particularly missing from the Motorola C975. It doesn't have top-end features like Bluetooth, 262k colour screen or a megapixel camera, but for the price you shouldn't expect that. The main downsides are high weight, poor battery life, that tricky joystick and poor build quality. The Motorola V975 has virtually the same specification as the C975, but is a clamshell design.

i have recently puchased this phone and have found it to be a brilliant phone for camera and video purposes. It is a great gadget phone but is maybe slightly too big for those who prefer the much smaller phones available. The C975 has a clear screen and is large enough so you wont strain your eyes trying to read the screen. It has fantasic color and graphics together with clear sound facilities and from what i can see the ability to put your own mp3 music onto it.
one thing that i do really hate about the C975 is the fact that you can only get it on 3 pay mobile service. i would advise if you were to buy this phone either keep your old sim card or buy a new one on another phone service and get your phone unlocked to another network as soon as you can. 3 pay is extortionate and an unfair tariff. you are forced to buy 15 pounds worth of top up each and every month, you have no choice but to as whatever credit you have not used by the end of the month is immediately taken away from you. also you have 5 pounds of your credit immediately converted into call minutes whch cannot be used for any other purpose but phone calls. the rest of the ten pound will have to be used on 3 pays internet service to download their increadabley expensive "ring tunes" and games or music videos.
another aspect of the phone which i feel could be improved is the fact is has a button which if even accidently pressed connects you to 3 pays internet service. this is a button directly under the back button so is easly pressed by mistake.
your phone though does come with a hands free set just to take the edge off that 15 pound sting in your pocket every month.
it may not sound exactly like it but i do love this phone i only wish the end of the month would come sooner i cannot wait to get my phone changed back to O2
