Rubbish
These are the worst discs I've had the misfortune of using. I tried a few discs on different writers, all wrote ok on the first layer but failed when trying to write on the 2nd layer. You're much better spending a bit more on decent discs, such as Verbatims.
I agree poor quality - coasters are about all there good for!
I have BenQ 16 speed dual layer drive with the latest firware.
i can't get one disk to write - i downloaded the BenQ disk speed tester.
these disks came up as below 2.4 speed let alone 8 speed.
If you look at theunder side you can see they oil looking pattern to them sure sign of poor quality.
I'm going to ask for my money back - whats the bet i don't get it.
Don't buy you will be disapointed.
Prepare for coasters!
I bought these blank dvds for my brother as a Christmas present (along with a DVD writer of course!). First disc worked fine. Then for every other disc in the cake box that we tried Nero came up with a 'Power Calibration Error' when attempting to write to the disc.
(BTW, I tried the DVD Writer with the current and the latest version of the firmware - i'm no amateur!)
I took the discs back home to try on my own pc and guess what, same problem!
Checked out some websites and a 'Power Calibration Error' normally suggests bad media. So if you want some drinks coasters then these are the ones to buy. Otherwise avoid.
Incidentally, I use DataWrite Titanium discs now - with no problems so far (after about 100 discs!)
