Lloyd Buy new: £39.95 / Used from: £46.87 This incredible book details the fearsome war machine that ever existed The Strategic Air Command.There is some amazing photography that you will pour over for hours.The detail included is mindblowing
	Anatomy of the Cuban Missile Crisis (Greenwood Press Guides to Historic Events of the Twentieth Century) by James A. Nathan Buy new: £35.95 / Used from: £38.53 Very well written book about the missile crisis, an extremely absorbing read that I highly recommend.
	Titan II: A History of a Cold War Missile Program by David K. Stumpf Buy new: £42.28 / Used from: £38.23 Comphrensive history of one of the most powerful weapons systems ever created by someone in the know. A real eye opener!!
	Threads [DVD] [1984] Buy used from: £9.95 Gritty, disturbing and thought provoking film about nuclear war, and the horror of life afterwards. Lives up to the hype.
	Thirteen Days [DVD] [2001] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.99 Superb dramatisation of the Cuban missile crisis. Maintains an edgy feel throughout with no Hollywood cheesyness ever evident, has you gripped even though you know the ending.
	Secret Cold War Nuclear Bunkers by N.J. McCamley Buy used from: £25.00 Very well researched and a real eye opener, this book shows the extent the NATO forces went to to protect themselves from a nuclear attack.
	The War Game [DVD] [1965] Buy used from: £45.00 Released in the 60s and banned until only recently, this is another gritty and disturbing account of a nuclear attack on Britain. Time has not softened it's blow!
	When the Wind Blows by Raymond Briggs Buy new: £5.47 / Used from: £1.19 Sad and incredibly moving story of an elderly couple living through a nuclear war. You have to be a very cold person not to be in some way touched by this book.
	XB-70 Valkyrie: The Ride to Valhalla by Jennette Remak Buy used from: £26.95 A brilliant history of the ultimate Cold War bomber program. Has some stunning photgraphy and the good technical detail. Recommended to fans of the plane.
	The Cold War: A Military History by David Miller Buy used from: £1.07 Interesting, if somewhat limited, history of Cold War weapons and hardware. Good to expand your knowledge with.
	Space Weapons, Earth Wars by Bob Preston Buy new: £17.09 / Used from: £10.32 During the Cold War both sides flirted with the idea of weapons in space and this book takes a very interesting look at the possibilties.
	Ballistic Missile Defence by Ashton B. Carter Buy used from: £4.28 A hot topic still today, this gives an idea of whats involved and the implications if it was introduced.
	100 Suns: 1945-1962 by Michael Light Buy new: £19.00 / Used from: £17.04 Dramatic book showing explosions from nuclear tests. It is incredible how something so devastatingly destructive can be so beautiful at the same time. Contains so breathtaking shots.
	Intercontinental Ballistic Missile: The Making of the Weapon That Changed the World by G.Harry Stine Buy used from: £3.37 Once you start reading this book you will find it hard to put down. Tells how the most feared weapon on the planet came to cast a dark shadow over the world for many years.
	Cold War Hot: Alternative Decisions of the Cold War by Peter Tsouras Buy new: £26.13 / Used from: £8.00 An interesting read, if sometimes a little far fetched, but does provide some food for thought if various turns of event had turned out differently.
	Wargames [DVD] [1983] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.29 A family film it may be but so much deeper, based on a real Cold War scenario about the US's control of it's nuclear arsenal, opening scene is chilling.
