Synopsis
Landon Carter (Shane West) and his friends are the coolest kids in Beaufort, North Carolina. They wear the right clothes, drive the right cars, and get into just enough trouble to be rebellious. Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) is the opposite--there doesn't seem to be anything cool about her. The preacher's daughter, plain Jamie wears big boxy dresses and the same sweater every day. She endures the scorn of Landon and his friends with a smile, always looking for the best in people. When a prank planned by Landon and his friend goes terribly wrong, the principal sentences him to tutoring on the weekends and working on the school play, activities in which Jamie is involved. As the two begin spending time together, Landon finds himself intrigued by this guileless girl who sees beauty in everything and exhibits unwavering faith in people and in the world. When circumstances beyond Landon and Jamie's control threaten their love, he stays by her side and does everything he can to make her dreams come true. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks.

The best teen movie5
A walk to remember has got to be one of the best teen movies of all time, although I will be very suprised if you won't need a tissue. The story revolves around Landon Carter(Shane West)someone who is going no where fast, the local bad boy. Jamie Sulliven(Mandy Moore)is the minister's daughter and as far from the in-crowd as she could possibly get; especially in contrast to Landon. They have never really got on but when they repeatedly spend time together it alters their lives forever.

A real tear-jerker!5
Made me cry (but then most films do)! Recommended to me by one of my pupils at school and I wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed the book too.

Suprised at how good this film was.5
To be honest, when I first read that mandy moore was playing one of the main characters in this film I was slightly put off. I would just say I'm not one of her fans. However, I think this film shows a really talented side of her, she played her character beautifully; subtly convincing and moving. I cried a few times through this film and that really is saying something. Inspiring movie.
